I have decided at 1:33 a.m. CST that tomorrow I am going to go downtown (Chicago that is). I’ve got $70 cash that’s burning a hole in my little pocket and I need music and books like it’s nobody’s business. Actually, I just need an excuse to go to the Fine Arts Building…but in truth I don’t need an excuse. I just go there and to Symphony Center (even if there’s no concert. I just love walking around that building) and to Millennium Park and a bunch of other places along Michigan Avenue. I plan on taking some pictures on my adventure so you can see what a whirlwind spontaneous day in the life of Val is like.
Tomorrow is adventure time! WOOT!

That class was the death of me. It was like the class itself was conspiring against me (the teacher was actually very helpful this past semester). Combined with the fact that it was the cause of the return of my anxiety forgive me if I’m reluctant to believe that music history can be “fun.”
